In Thailand the owners of many dogs allow them to roam free. It’s a good life for healthy well fed dogs if they can avoid the traffic and don’t cause motor accidents; especially when they live on the beaches. But not all dog’s are as lucky as this one who is owned by the restaurant on Yannui Beach, Phuket. To learn more about Thailand’s dogs visit Soi Dog.
The sun rising is hidden from view. It’s not often foggy in Rawai but this was one of those unusual days when the tide was out and the wind brought pollution from Sumatra where the forests was burning.
This was truly a dramatic event which produced a kaleidoscope of colours until darkness enveloped us. Thailand produces many spectacular sunsets but not all year round.
The tree which was washed up on Naiharn beach looks like an anchor to me. But it has never been anchored since arriving. Every day the tide moved it a little, in the same direction about 200 metres. I kept taking shots as it moved along. Then today I was experimenting with some post processing ideas and by accident I create a surreal picture of the young man meditating.
I am a real dunce when it comes to layers but I am trying. So it was a real surprise when this happened. Initially I left the tree out and when I put it back in I couldn’t decide which picture I liked best. What do you think?
